All Fired Up & Kickin Ash
Cameron County Chamber of Commerce firing up for the All Fired Up & Kickin Ash BBQ Competition set for Saturday September 23. The annual event held the 4th Saturday of September continues to draw competitors and visitors from across the United States. “The first competitor to register comes from the Clarion area,” says executive director Tina Johns Solak.
The event will grow to two days this year with the addition of Alleghany Mountain Chapter of Nam Knights. The group is organizing adult beverage sales and entertainment for Friday and Saturday. Friday night following the Cameron County High School home football game, competitors will be available to answer questions. “This is a wonderful mingling opportunity and a way to grow the event,” says Johns Solak.
Saturday competitors will be judged on 7 categories including dessert and sides. Attendees can also cast votes for their favorite. Food sales will begin at noon.
The chamber website has rules and a registration form online at www.cameroncountychamber.org. Currently the chamber is accepting names of people wishing to judge the competition. No experience is required, just a hearty appetite
