hour delay this morning, Feb 5, 2014.

received the automated message from the school announcing this, but as of 6:30 am I have not

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 TO 8 INCHES AROUND INTERSTATE 80...WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS OF 8 TO 14 INCHES CLOSER TO THE NEW YORK BORDER.
* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MOST OF THE DAY. IT WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES. THE SNOW MAY MIX WITH SLEET OR FREEZING RAIN SOUTH OF ROUTE 6 LATER THIS MORNING...BUT THE PRECIPITATION WILL GO BACK TO SNOW...TAPERING OFF IN THE EARLY EVENING.
* IMPACTS...DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS DUE TO SNOW COVERED ROADS. HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATION ON TREES AND UTILITY LINES MAY CAUSE POWER OUTAGES. THE MORNING COMMUTE WILL BE SEVERELY IMPACTED.
