NEW DEADLINE FOR BOARD INTEREST!
The next board meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, November 27 at 3:30 p.m. interested parties should submit their letters of interest for board membership by NO LATER than Saturday, November 27.
The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library (Cameron County Public Library) is seeking ONE Cameron County resident to fill a vacancy on the Library Board of Trustees.
The interested individual must have an understanding of our community and its needs and be willing to commit their time and effort to a public cause by attending regularly scheduled board meetings, committee meetings, and planning sessions. Public participation benefits all of Cameron County.
The Board of Trustees consists of seven county residents who supervise and administer the overall operation of the Cameron County Public Library. The Board meets every other month starting in February of each calendar year.
If you are a Cameron County resident and able and willing to serve your community, please give your serious consideration to this request by emailing a letter of interest to the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library Board of Trustees, Attention of Ms. Yelena Kisler, to librarian@barbaramoscatobrownlibrary.org by no later than Saturday, November 25, 2023. Letters of interest can also be dropped off in person at the library building at 27 West 4th Street, Emporium.
The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library is a vital part of the educational and cultural structure of Cameron County and depends on public support for its continuing progress.
