Saturday October 15, 2022 at 1 PM Emporium VFW - "HISTORIC TALES OF THE PENNSYLVANIAWILDS" presented by local Author Kathy Myers. For those of you who love our PA Wilds and want to learn about its earliest history. Come in and join us for a fascinating well researched past of our history that is so fascinating you don't want to miss out and learn what the attraction was over 200 years ago that remains today.
Myers features the Indian Chief Cornplanter, George Washington as a young man as a military leader. The violence between Native Americans and the colonists in our area, that left its bloody mark.
Discover why after the American revolution brought settlers and their families into the wilderness to built communities and developed numerous frontier towns that remain today.
Myers is a native of Elk County with her roots that include Cameron County. She is a descendant of the Winslow family of Winslow Hill, the Hicks and Smith families of Cameron County.
