Our former dog, Archie, who we adopted from a Golden Retriever Rescue Group
Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library
Here at the library, we just adore dogs! And for all of you dog lovers out there, August is National Dog Month! Studies have shown that dogs are the #1 most commonly owned pet and for good reason! Scientific studies have proven that owning a dog increases happiness and reduces stress.
For the month of August, the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library will have a book display with books about dogs, dog grooming and dog care. So please stop on by the library to check out our National Dog Month display!
Here are a few ways you can celebrate National Dog Month with your canine companions! You could take your dog(s) on an extra walk or play a game of fetch. You could buy your dog(s) a special toy or give your dog(s) an extra, yummy treat. You could schedule an appointment with your veterinarian to help keep your dog(s) healthy and strong. Or, you could either volunteer at or donate to your local animal shelter.
