The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library is excited to present “Messy Munchies” program series in
partnership with Penn State Extension. Nutrition Education Adviser, Laurie Maletto will present three
programs related to healthy eating habits on August 2, 9, and 16 at 4 p.m. each in the library’s
multipurpose room.
The program will be open to children ages 5-12. Space is limited, so register early to attend these great
programs. You will need to sign up for each week’s program separately.
The lessons will be different each week. August 2: Keep your food safe - hand-washing and where does
my food go? We will read Frig vs Cupboard, and learn about food safety. August 9: Eating Rainbows - all
about fruits and vegetables, we will play a Bingo game, have coloring pages, and fruits and veggies A-Z.
August 16: Think your drink – we will learn about sugar amounts in drinks activity, hydration, infused
water.
Each program will also include a snack activity.
