Daniel Michael Topolski
It is with great sadness, that the family of Daniel Michael Topolski announces his passing on Friday March 19, 2021 at the age of 83. Daniel is the son of William and Kathleen Topolski of Emporium PA. Daniel will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 yrs, Lois and his children JoElyn Sesso (Greg) and Daniel Jr. Topolski. Daniel will be fondly remembered by his grandchild Michael John Sesso, Brothers William Topolski (Judy) of Truckee CA, Larry Topolski (Molly) of Emporium PA and sister Leslie Norton (Ben) of Newark NY.
Daniel graduated from Clarion State and earned his Masters Degree from Michigan State University. He taught for 37 yrs in the high school science department of the East Rochester Public School District and was department chair for 20 years. Dan was an innovative teacher who introduced a unique horticulture program which included students and members of the East Rochester community, Dan and Lois together initiated the first East Rochester school ski club, environmental club, career day, and community science fairs. He coached junior varsity baseball, varsity football and was advisor for the classes of '68 and '95. His passions included skiing, cooking, painting, seed collecting and gardening.
There will not be a funeral service at this time. At a future date, there will be a Celebration of Life memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Daniel Topolski's Veteran Program (AVRP - www.avrp.us) or Spirtus Christi ministries (https://www.spirituschristi.org/giving/).
