Guy & Mary Felt Manor Covid Update

 Guy & Mary Felt Manor

December 7, 2020 After many months of continued diligence, our county has experienced a massive spread of COVID-19 recently. Despite our best efforts, Felt Manor has now personally been affected.

Today, December 7, we had our first employee positive case. Prior to today, all tested staff was negative. As a result, universal testing of all residents was conducted resulting in three positive cases. The affected residents are being moved to our COVID positive isolation area (Red zone).

Due to government privacy requirements, we cannot divulge specific information about the individuals who have tested positive or have symptoms The facility staff will continue to contact you directly with any resident changes in condition including symptoms of COVID-19.

Hyper vigilance is an important part of reducing everyone’s risk.
We are taking extra steps to reduce the spread and impact of COVID-19:
 -current census is 29.
-PPE and sanitization supplies are on hand and in use
-All staff have been fitted for and provided with N95 respirators
.-We have access to COVID-19 testing.
-Dedicated staff has been assigned to the Red Zone area and only take care of those residents in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
-Mitigating actions have been implemented to prevent or reduce the risk of transmission
.-Enhanced Infection Control Precautions
-Postponing communal activities
-Restricting visitation and entry of people to the building
-Testing staff and residents for COVID-19

Should you have any questions regarding your family member, please contact the facility. Continue to reach out to facility staff to assist you in communicating with your loves ones. We can assist with zoom meetings, face time, or cell calls to help keep you in touch. Our residents and staff appreciate the support from the community during this unprecedented time.

Sincerely, Kimberly Jones, NHA
