Helen L. Pearsall “beloved mother, grandmother, and sister”
COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Helen L. Pearsall, 88, of Coudersport, formerly of Sizerville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, in UPMC Hamot, Erie.
Born on Friday, February 6, 1931 in Driftwood, she was a daughter of Arthur H. and Louise Anna Wolfe Pearsall. She was formerly married to Joseph E. Walker, who preceded her in death.
Helen had been employed at Sylvania Corporation in Emporium for many years.
Helen attended Gardeau Church, where she was the caretaker for many years. While living in Coudersport, Helen attended Gospel Tabernacle Church. She was active in the Adopt a Highway program, a member of the Cameron County Grange, and was a member of the Coudersport Senior Center. While living in Cameron County, she worked on the election board. She enjoyed gardening; going to camp with her granddaughter, Faith Lynne; fishing; and the outdoors. She was a very loving and caring, beautiful woman. She was a mother to her grandchildren and adored her great-grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Walker Reynolds of Summerville and Faith E. Walker Banks of Emporium; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pauline Pearsall Hayes of Monroe, Louisiana, Naomi Pearsall Dill of Sterling Run, and Judy Pearsall of St. Marys; a brother, David Pearsall of Snow Camp, North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her former husband, she was predeceased by a son, Dale A. Walker; three sisters, Josephine I. Pearsall Reed, Mildred Pearsall Irwin, and Esther J. Pearsall Greg; six brothers, Eddie Pearsall, Sr., Richard I. Pearsall, Arthur H. Pearsall, Jr., Allen E. Pearsall, Herbert I. Pearsall, and Robert S. Pearsall.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the Gardeau Church, 2896 Gardeau Road, Emporium.
