West Penn Power will be taking a planned power interruption on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 between 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM to make needed repairs.
This will affect approximately 977 commercial and residential customers across three counties in the towns of Driftwood, Sinnamahoning, Benezett and Westport, Pa.
In anticipation of the planned power interruption affecting Gibson and Grove Townships as well as the Driftwood Borough, warming shelters will be open at the following locations on Wednesday, November 13th:
Driftwood Senior Center
7806 Bridge St
Driftwood, PA 15832
(814) 546-2331
Sinnemahoning Fire Department
186 Railroad Street
Sinnemahoning, PA 15861
(814) 546-2487
The shelters will be open beginning at 9:00 AM and remain open until power is restored. The shelters are being opened due to forecast temperatures being in the high 20s to low 30s for the duration of the outage. Both locations have back-up generators.
Additionally, the Driftwood Senior Center along with support from the American Red Cross Greater Pennsylvania Region will have lunch available for those affected by the outage.
