Rotarian, Phil Jones, introduced Janice Tata, VP of Development of BriMark Builders, LLC as the guest speaker at the Rotary luncheon meeting June 13th. When a community is interested in building a hotel, she tries facilitates the land, investors and financing.
BriMark Builders, LLC is the preferred hotel general contractor partner of Cobblestone Hotel & Suites, Cobblestone Inn & Suites and Boarders Inn & Suites. Janice gave the club a short history of the company, along with information of the features of Cobblestone Hotels which are upper mid-scale hotels.
Grant funds are available for 50% of the cost of hotel construction and the balance can be from federal funds or private investors with an income or combined income of $300,000.00. The average cost of construction is $98,000.00 and a typical hotel has 35-36 rooms and employees approximately 12 people with 3-4 full time employees and the rest part time. Currently, there are 9 Cobblestone Hotels in PA and 87 hotels in 17 states across the US.
