Rotarian, Bob Martin, (right), introduced guest speakers Executive Director, Holly Komonczi & Outreach Coordinator, Steve Manginell ,of the Lumber Heritage Region at the Rotary luncheon meeting January 17th.
Lumber Heritage has been involved with and co-founded may projects throughout the 15 county region. that help preserve the culture of the area. Holly, the new Executive Director, has a background in economic development and tourism and described some of Lumber Heritage Region’s past projects and future plans. Steve discussed his duties as Outreach Coordinator and asked for local input. Steve also thanked the Emporium Foundation for their past support and pointed out that their first project “Elk Tourism” was the foundation for the PA Wilds. The Lumber Heritage office is located at the Cameron County Court House and they can be reached at 486-0213.
Tickets are on sale for the Rotary Wine & Cheese Fundraiser February 18th.
