WORLD WAR II PROGRAM - Emporium Fire Hall - Saturday April 23, 2016 at 3 PM - Cameron County Historical Society is hosting a World War II Program featuring Steve Appleby, Director of the Eldred World War II Museum.
If you are a World War II enthusiast, a Veteran of the war, or just want to learn more about this war, this is a program you will want to attend. Appleby's WWII presentation will include artifacts from many collections in the museum emphasizing on what these men used and carried as they risked their lives. The museum carries a personal theme of what those of this incredible war fought endured resonates throughout the museum and through Appleby himself.
Appleby enlisted in the US Army after high school serving in the infantry and Special Forces until he retired a few years ago. The personal aspect behind these amazing men has been a strong passion of Appleby's since childhood and has remained important to him enough that he has become a foremost historian on this hard fought war.
