Little Museum Makes Top 10 To Visit This Summer

Little Museum in Sterling Run has made the top 10 seasonal museums to visit this summer. Jim Cheney a writer from Uncover PA writes, “ I’ve visited a lot of historical society museums in Pennsylvania, some of which are seasonal and some of which are open year round. However, none blew me away as much as The Little Museum in Cameron County.”

The items inside the Little Museum that attracted Cheney’s attention included Sylvania artifacts and person items from General Joseph McNarney. “I’ve traveled a lot around Pennsylvania over the last year and have been to some rather obscure destinations. However, I think The Little Museum has to be one of the most off-the-beaten-path places I’ve visited. What it shows is that fantastic things can come in small, out of the way packages,” continued Cheney.

This summer The Little Museum will host monthly activities. Saturday June 6 Theresa Genaux and Robin Kuleck from The Little Red Barn Farm will bring live alpacas and demonstrate spinning. July focuses on the Coke Oven rehabilitation project and August features a Night at the Museum with tours by the Cameron County Historical Society board members.

 The Little Museum is open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 1-4pm until the middle of October.
