Edith M. Smith, 69, of 512 Tannery Heights, Emporium, PA died unexpectedly at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Wednesday (July 9, 2014) morning. She was born (July 15, 1944) in St. Marys, PA a daughter of the late Howard S. and Edna Lattin LaPolt. On December 18, 1976 in First Baptist Church, Emporium she married the late Richard P. Smith. Mrs. Smith graduated from Cameron County High School. She was a member of the Rich Valley Wesleyan Church for many years where she enjoyed volunteering and participating in church activities. She enjoyed playing cards with the ladies on Thursday evenings.

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on on Saturday from 10:00 AM to the time of the service at 12:00 PM with Rev. Tammy Claydon, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Huntley Cemetery, Driftwood, PA
