Barbara Schnee McGraw, 83, of Lindenwood Drive, Emporium, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 in the emergency room of ElkRegional HealthCenter following a brief illness.
Born January 19, 1929 in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Bertha Jessop Schnee. Sixty-three years ago on January 19, 1949 in Emporium, she married Lloyd McGraw who survives.
A lifelong resident of Emporium, she was a graduate of Emporium High School and Bryant & Stratton Business Collegein Buffalo, NY.
Barb was a member of the FirstUnited MethodistChurch in Emporium and a past member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Emporium Chapter #101.
Surviving in addition to her husband Lloyd are: one son, Larry (Nanette) McGraw of Emporium; one daughter, Janet (Andrew) Kelly of Emporium; a brother, Roger Schnee of Wilmington; six grandchildren, Erin McGraw Betz of Odentin, Maryland, Doug McGraw of Clarkston, Michigan, Alysia and Lloyd Rairdan of St. Marys, Patrick Rairdan of Emporium and Lori Cheatle of Ridgway; and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald and a sister, Dorothy Schnee.
The family will receive friends in the First UnitedMethodist Churchon Monday, December 3, 2012 from 3-4 p.m. at which time Funeral and Committal Services will follow with the Rev. Joseph Short, pastor, officiating.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the First UnitedMethodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium.
