Bertha Roma Henriette Kresser Johnson, 93, of Port Allegany, formerly of Emporium, died Friday (October 28, 2011) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
She was born Aug. 30, 1918 in Collins, Wisconsin, a daughter of August and Phillipina Illk Kresser. On Oct. 3, 1936, she married Warren Kenneth Johnson, who preceded her in death.
She was associated with the Emporium Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by one daughter: Karolyn K. Blood of Port Allegany, PA., four sons: Kenneth W. Johnson of Rincon, GA, Karl L. Johnson of Rincon, GA, Keith A. Johnson of Oconomowoc, WI, Kurt E. Johnson of Acra, NY., 25 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Marie Gaynor, 4 brothers, and 7 sisters.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Port Allegany, at a future time and date to be announced.
