As we have for the past several years, the Sylvan Heritage Council continues to sell Westerwald pottery as an ongoing fundraiser for our organization. Each piece is designed and handmade in Southwestern PA- no two are exactly alike.
The pottery is sold at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce and Artisan center and Chateau Soleil in Emporium. You may also contact us on Facebook or by contacting any Sylvan Heritage member, Christine Slusarick, Randy Bailey, Cindy Ramsey, Jan Hampton, Michelle Clark, Dick Lewis, Don Olivett, Reuben Solveson or Wendy Goulding
The Sylvan Heritage Council, a group of Cameron County residents with diverse backgrounds, is committed to the betterment of our community through positive energy and action. A few of the projects that we have sponsored are: the installation of the Emporium welcome signs and the surrounding landscaping at the east and west end of town, the mural and banner projects, the new signs for the Endeavor and other local businesses, and our most recent venture is the placement of a block retaining wall at the town’s east end triangle. These projects of the Sylvan Heritage Council are most fitting to their mission: to pursue sustainable economic growth through the beautification, revitalization, and historic preservation of our community in such a way that capitalizes on our area’s abundant natural resources and maintains our proud local heritage.
We want our community to thrive and we intend to continue to be a driving force behind that cause.
