Ted A. Whiting

Ted A. Whiting, 74, of 40 W. 5th Street, Emporium, PA died at Penn Highlands DuBois on Saturday (February 28, 2015) morning. He was born June 4, 1940 in Sterling Run, PA a son of the late Beryl Hazen. On June 30, 1967 in St. Marks Catholic Church he married Mary Richey Zito Whiting, who survives.

 Ted was raised by his grandparents the late Harry & Grace Whiting. He graduated from Emporium High School and served his county with the US Air Force for over 10 years. Ted retired from GKN where he worked for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a past member of the Emporium Fire Department where he served as fire police. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

 Daughter: Gina Zito and her husband Lynn Stickles, Rochester, NY 

Son: Mark Zito and his wife Lori, Atlanta, GA 

Son: Michael "Mick" Zito and his wife Kim, Douglasville, GA

 Daughter-in-law: Denise Zito, San Jose, CA

 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren

 Brother: Stan Whiting 

Brother: Richard Whiting 

Brother: Harry "Mac" Whiting 

Brother: Phil Whiting

Preceded in Death By Mother: Beryl Hazen

Grandparents: Harry & Grace Whiting

 Son: Frank Zito

 Several Brothers and Sisters

There will be No Visitation.

 Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held at the First United Methodist Church 306 S. Spruce St, Emporium, PA on Tuesday (March 3, 2015) at 2:00 PM with Rev. Joseph Short, Pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
