MOBILE SIREN TESTING

On Wednesday, April 23, 2014 beginning at 11:00 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. the Cameron County Office of Emergency Services will be conducting mobile siren testing in the following areas:

• From the George B. Stevenson Dam South on First Fork Road (State Route 872) to Sinnemahoning.

• From Sinnemahoning West on Route 120 to Driftwood.
• West on Low Grade Road (State Route 555) to the Gibson Township Building.

The purpose of this testing is to determine the placement of sirens for the George B. Stevenson Dam Emergency Warning Project. Each siren test will follow the Federal emergency guideline of a three minute continuous siren tone.

The test siren is a mobile unit in the back of an Alert Notification.com pickup truck. If you are driving in the area(s) of testing please use caution and be alert for the mobile unit.

To assist us in determining the siren coverage area we are asking if you hear the siren tests please call 814-486-9321 to report your name, location, time, and how well you were able to hear the siren.

In the event of inclement weather testing will be rescheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2014.
