Another wonderful program offered by our library!
Attendees will learn the wonderful complexity, yet joy, of saving seeds to preserve the past and prepare for the future. This science and research-based class will explain basic botany and mating systems, preparations and simple tools needed, maintenance, harvesting, cleaning, and storage of seeds of heirloom varieties and wild native plants.
This class will set the groundwork for planning a seed saving system in your garden or small farm.
With the help of the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library, you will also have a place to share locally, the seeds you save for others to use as well.
The class is free, but we will be accepting donations to go toward the cost of this and other Master Gardener programs.
Space is limited so register by calling the library no later than 2 PM, Wednesday, September 27
