If one of your New Year's Resolutions was to recycle more, here is some information about our local recycling center.
Cameron County Recycling Center
The CCRC has been pretty busy with the increase in recycling drop offs. We would like to remind everyone to only drop off items you see listed on the large signs hanging on the fence.
Accepted materials: Plastics 1 & 2, cardboard, paper, aluminum cans, steel cans, and glass in clear, brown, and green (no construction glass).
DOES NOT ACCEPT: Grass Clippings, aluminum siding or any construction materials, plastic containers from plants or others that are not labeled as #1 or #2 plastic.
The dumpster located on the premises is NOT to be used for your own personal garbage
REMINDER! Motor Oil bottles are NOT accepted at the Cameron County Recycling Center.
Although the bottle may have a #2 resin code on it, the oil inside contaminates the bottle thus making it a non-recyclable item.
