Betty Sloughfy, 87, of Emporium, PA passed away Jan. 10, 2022 at Coudersport Hospital after a brief illness.
Betty was born to John and Susan Jamison on May 14, 1934 in Beaverdale Pa. She graduated from Beaverdale High School in 1954.
When living in Emporium, she worked at Cameron Manufacturing for 13 years. She then moved to Georgia to live near her daughter and worked various jobs as a nanny, in customer service and retail sales. She came back to live in Emporium after she retired.
Betty was a member of the Emporium Senior Center. She loved to play bingo. She also liked to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever she could. She was not one to stay still for very long.
She is survived by her children, Kim Reynolds of Georgia, Carla (Scott) Horning and Linda (Mike) Songer of Emporium and Allen (Rhonda) Sloughfy of Kentucky, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, a brother and a grandson.
