“Ask an Accountant” hours offered by the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce are changing in April. Jessica Herzing, an area accountant, will be at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce and Artisan Center on Tuesday, April 3 from 6pm to 7:30pm.
These free, walk-in office hours are available to all local business owners and entrepreneurs. Small businesses aren’t always in need of a dedicated bookkeeper, tax preparer or Certified Public Accountant, however, they can still benefit from the expertise of an accounting professional when questions arise. Jessica will be available to answer your accounting and tax questions or point you in the right direction to the resources needed to ensure you have the best, most accurate information as you move forward building your business.
Jessica is a staff accountant and tax preparer at Judd A. Schager, CPA. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Central Pennsylvania College. As a CPA candidate, she is bound by the ethical standards of the accounting profession, as well as professional liability and negligence constraints. She cannot perform actual tax preparation, bookkeeping, or accounting engagement services in this voluntary capacity.
Unable to attend “Ask an Accountant” hours? Be sure to take advantage of Clarion University’s Small Business Development Center’s, Corry Riley, on Thursday, April 26. Corry has been a Business Outreach Consultant with the SBDC since 2005. He serves Cameron, Clearfield, and Potter counties. He will be here, at the Chamber, providing office hours from 10 am to 3 pm, and can provide assistance with financial analysis, Quickbooks Assitance, market research, business plan development, environmental compliance, human resources, and management assistance. Walk-ins are welcome, however, appointments are recommended and may be scheduled by contacting the SBDC at (814)393-2060 or via email at criley@clarion.edu.
