"This week we are celebrating an incredible milestone: Edith Isacke’s 100th birthday!🎂 Edith was one of the first woman to join the Penn State Blue Band, playing piccolo in the 1940s when women were in the band during World War II. This past weekend, Edith met Ellie Sheehan, our first female Drum Major. An amazing moment between two women who have made Blue Band history.

Edith Walker- Isacki is from Emporium. 

Her siblings were Edna Schager, Alice Stephenson, James Murray and Judd Murray, all Emporium natives.
