Driftwood Borough
This message serves to update all concerned regarding the condition of Castle Garden Road, Boyer Run. It has now been one year since the high-water event that compromised the road's integrity.
Driftwood Borough has completed all necessary work and obtained FEMA approval for funding to repair the roadway. The current delay is due to the required permit from DEP to replace the pipe; securing this permit involves having an engineer prepare the plans and submit the application, after which DEP may take over four months to process the approval. In the meantime, the Borough will assess the feasibility of installing a temporary solution to ensure vehicle safety until permanent repairs can be made.
