Sizerville State Park Environmental Education Programs
 October 26 th & 31 st

 Program Title: Northern Saw-whet Owl Banding – In Memory of Justin Geist
 Date: Saturday, October 26 th 
Time: 6:30 PM 
Location: Near Maintenance Division
 Description: Join experienced bird banders, David and Fay Hauber, as they attempt to band Northern Saw-whet Owls right here in Sizerville State Park!  We will have a short introduction on owls followed by instructions on what to do and expect during the demonstration. Wear sturdy shoes since we will be walking on trails, and feel free to bring a water bottle, flashlights, and lots of layers!   

 Registration is not required but recommended - please do so by Friday, October 25th to have an idea on how much to prepare for beforehand. Thank you! 


 Program Title: Sizerville’s Spooktacular Skele-bration 
Date: Thursday, October 31st 
Time: 6:00 – 7:30 PM 
Location: Environmental Learning Center
 Description: Happy Halloween! Come out and join the park educator for a night filled with spooky fun and games! Some of the topics for this program may include owls, spiders, bats, and ghosts. There will also be a pumpkin-themed game and crafts to make. Costumes are encouraged, so stop by for a ghostly good time!

To register for a program, go to the DCNR Calendar of Events website, search Sizerville State Park, find the program listed, and click on the Register button right under the program date, time, and location.

In case of thunder, lightning, or extreme weather conditions programs may be moved or cancelled.
