Nittany MinitMart Announces Plans for New Store in Emporium

We couldn't be more excited to be joining the Emporium community! Our official release is below!

Plans are underway for a new Nittany MinitMart location in Emporium, on the site previously occupied by GKN Sinter Metals, LLC (formerly known as GKN Plant 1) located at 15420 Route 120 Emporium. Nittany MinitMart and Potter Lands, LLC are currently in the early stages of design and development, with Nittany MinitMart employees and local officials working through the due diligence and permitting processes.

Nittany MinitMart recognizes the importance of collaboration and says they are thankful for the support received from local and county governments. Additionally, the positive reception from the Emporium community has been instrumental in advancing plans for the new store.

Nittany MinitMart, a well-known regional convenience store chain with 28 locations throughout Pennsylvania, has expressed appreciation for the warm reception it has received from the Emporium community.

The new store, which will be open 24/7, is expected to bring added convenience to Emporium residents. Nittany MinitMart is well known for offering a wide range of services, including fuel and fresh food options, and is expected to make a significant impact once it officially opens its doors.

Along with their food menu and convenience options, Nittany MinitMart is known for giving back to the communities surrounding their stores. According to their mobile app, in 2023, the State College-based business donated over $200,000 to local nonprofits, including volunteer fire companies, animal shelters, and school and youth sports programs.

Potter Lands, LLC is a Potter County-based commercial real estate developer co-founded by Jason Holmberg and Todd Brown that specializes in the revitalization of underutilized commercial buildings and properties. “We are pleased and very excited to work with Nittany MinitMart on this significant development that will have a major positive impact on Cameron County in terms of employment and economic vitality,” said Todd Brown. “In addition, we are grateful to Nittany MinitMart for their future investment in the Emporium community, as well as our appreciation to Cameron County Commissioners, Cliff Clark, Director of Cameron County Industrial Development Authority, and Shippen Township officials as we work together to build Nittany MinitMart's newest location.

” Further details about the store’s design, services, and timeline will be determined once the planning phase has been completed.

Nittany MinitMart is a trusted, family-owned convenience store chain that provides high-quality products and exceptional customer service to communities across Pennsylvania.
