In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, we invite everyone to a unique storytelling experience with Native American storyteller and performer, Lancequiver Sequoyah White Eagle.
Join us on November 9, 2024, from 1 PM to 2 PM to explore the rich tapestry of Indigenous legends, culture, and history. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public (no library card needed to attend)!

Lancequiver Sequoyah White Eagle, a member of the Western Band of Cherokee and the Rappahannock peoples, will share traditional Indigenous legends passed down through generations. These captivating stories are more than entertainment; they hold cultural wisdom, moral lessons, and deep-rooted beliefs that connect audiences with the enduring heritage of Native American communities.
As a respected storyteller and performer, Lance White Eagle brings extensive experience to his craft. He has performed at renowned institutions like Penn State University's anthropology department and Yale University, and his knowledge of Indigenous American culture and history has been featured in numerous colleges, pow-wows, and even on national news programs. Whether you’re new to Indigenous legends or well-versed in these timeless tales, Lance White Eagle’s storytelling promises an unforgettable experience.
