Rotary Club of Emporium
Meet a Member Monday
This week we would like to highlight Rotarian Ken Gerg.
Ken joined Rotary in October of 1967, making him a Rotarian for well over 50 years!
Ken was a past President of our club from 1969-1970. He is also a 4-time Paul Harris fellow and his wife Joanne is also a non-Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow.
Ken has been and still is a big contributor to our annual picnic. He has played a part in adjusting our recipes over the years and helped to make our famous clam chowder as great as it is. He is also our highest ticket seller year after year.
Ken has also started 5 companies in Emporium before his retirement. As a hobby, Ken has been on various hunts around the world and collected a large number of various taxidermy animals over the years. He has hopes to someday create a museum in the area that showcases all of the animals in North America.
