Ronald L. Polinick, age 59, 222 W. Main Street, Bloomsburg, and formerly of Emporium, died on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a courageous battle against cancer.
Born on May 27, 1965 in Ridgway, he was the son of the late Michael D. and Ethel (Uplinger) Polinick.
Ronald was a 1984 graduate of Cameron County High School. He was a meat cutter for 41 years and last worked at Emporium Food Mart. He was also a member of the Emporium VFW Post 6221.
He is survived by: his wife Jonie (Leydig) Polinick, whom he married on July 2, 2005; daughter, Matraca Polinick of Warren; stepchildren, Stephen Brant of Stafford Virginia, Melissa Brant of DuBois, Randy Overly II and partner Jessica Thomas of Berwick, Brandy wife of Josh Deleon of New Ulm, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; brother, Donald Polinick and his wife Sue of Emporium; sister, Malinda wife of Kevin Ackman of Emporium; and a half sister Juizz Carnahan and partner Lori Curcio of Mount Jewett.
A celebration of Ronalds life will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 12 noon to 3:00 pm at The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6221: 427 E 3rd St, Emporium, PA 15834. All are welcome to attend.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
