Rotary Club of Emporium Meet a Member Monday

Rotary Club of Emporium Meet a Member Monday

This week, we would like to introduce Rotarian and current Foundation Chair, Marsha Hendrickson.

Marsha has been a member of Rotary for 15 years as she joined our club in March of 2009. Marsha has served as club president in 2013-2014, has been a member of the board of directors for 11 years, and previously served 5 years as Sergeant-at-Arms. She is also chair for the team that helps the food pantry with boxes each month. During our annual club picnic, Marsha is the chair of the committee that serves and sells our famous clam chowder. Marsha is a four-time Paul Harris Fellow. In her personal career, she retired from DCNR Bureau of Forestry in 2007 with 25 years of service and is currently a licensed massage therapist. Twice, Marsha joined a large team of Rotarians from several states and countries and traveled to India to help administer Polio vaccines to children; while there, the teams also helped build earthen dams to aid rural communities to consistently grow crops. They also got to tour various parts of India and Nepal during those trips.
