Donald Pollick, 86, of Bloomington and a guest of Laurelbrooke Personal Care Home, Brookville, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the home.
Born Nov. 2, 1937, in Knox Township, Clearfield County, he was a son of Alex and Anna (Franchock) Pollick.
Donald was Protestant by faith.
He retired after 28 years of service as an operating engineer for Local 66 Operators Union.
Donald was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gardening and the art of fly tying, using feathers he collected and other natural materials.
On Oct. 5, 1957 he married Ruby (Brown) Pollick, who preceded him in death on Feb. 29, 2020.
Donald is survived by two sons, Donald (Kathy) Pollick and Rodney (Kandi) Pollick, along with four grandchildren, Erik (Kari) Pollick, Lacy Pollick and companion Dave Wolfel, Harmony (Jeff) Gearheart, and Jacob (Laura) Pollick. Also surviving are six great grandchildren, Kaleb Pollick, Ella Wolfel, Emma Pollick, Reagan Gearheart, Quinn Pollick, and Abby Gearheart; along with a sister, Peggy (Rich) Terry of Curwensville.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; brother, John; twin brother, Ronald; and sisters, Mary Ann Bassaro, Dorothy Hoover, Betty Brunetti, and Katheryn Hensel.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be at Bloomington Cemetery.
