Elk Country Visitor Center
Distance Learning with the Elk Country Visitor Center is filling up fast! If you haven’t booked your distance learning experience yet, book it now!
The geographic and funding constraints have caused many school districts to prohibit the ability for their students to visit the Elk Country Visitor Center. In order to help counteract these constraints KECA established the distance learning program in 2013. This program utilizes Zoom to provide students ,who are unable to visit the Elk Country Visitor Center, with a multi-sensory environmental learning experience right in their classroom, or from home. In addition, KECA will ship an elk trunk that contains an elk pelt, elk antlers, a bison horn, elk jaw, elk skull, and other materials to the school, free of charge. This trunk allows students to have a hands-on learning experience even though KECA is not physically in the classroom.
