Author of Pennsylvania Oddities Marlin Bressi - Will be the guest speaker at this year's Fall Membership Event of the Cameron County Historical Society Saturday October 21, 2023, 2:00 PM at the Emporium VFW. Bressi has some amazing non-fiction stories of the Weird Strange and Unusual to share with us covering our area.
Bressi, has compiled a panoply of unsolved mysteries and unusual happenings throughout the history of the Keystone State. ... From unsolved mysteries, headless corpses, missing persons, to ghosts and missing treasure, Bressi's compilation is sure to entertain: Murder, mystery and mayhem! remarkably strange, but true like that of Peter Hauntz: Pennsylvania’s Mysterious Puppetmaster who toured the lumber camps throughout PA including Cameron County. James Sharp alias Peter Hauntz still has family here and in Elk County.
Bressi is an author and history buff who currently resides in Harrisburg. A native of the Coal region and graduated from the Mount Carmel Area High School. He still maintains his childhood enthusiasm for all things strange, weird and unique from around central Pennsylvania.
A nonfiction writer authoring books such as Hairy Men in Caves; True Stories of America's Most Color Hermits and a series of books entitled Pennsylvania Oddities. He is also the host of the Pennsylvania Oddities Podcast, which is now in its fourth season.
