Environmental Education Programs for the weekend of August 12 th
Program Title: Tree Trek
Date: Saturday, August 12 th
Time: 3:00 – 4:30 PM
Location: Near Pavilion 3
Description: Come join the park educator for a hike to identify trees growing in
Sizerville State Park. We will discuss what these trees are used for specifically and
their importance to survival of all living things. Wear sturdy shoes since the trails
are on uneven terrain and field guides will be provided.

Program Title: Survival Skills 101
Date: Saturday, August 12 th

ime: 8:00 – 9:30 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: Join state park volunteer, Steve Bajor, to go over what to do if you
were to get lost in the forest. We will go over camping, fire, and emergency
safety along with how to start a fire in the middle of the wilderness. Feel free to
bring snacks and a blanket!

Impromptu (Every Week): Saturday afternoon – 5:00 PM – Poolside Powwow
Take a break from the pool, grab a snack or ice cream, and join the
park educator for a short impromptu program. The topic will be
revealed at the powwow, so come join us and see!

Additional Information:
In case of thunder, lightning, or extreme weather conditions programs may be moved or
cancelled.

are available for educational programs.
