Sinnemahone Trail Run
Saturday marks the 9th year for the Sinnemahone Trail Run. Outdoor enthusiasts select either a 12k, 25k or 50k and travel through the Elk State Forest. The event draws competitors from across the United States. This year two runners are coming from California.
Runners will be provided aid along the trail at 7 aid stations. They are manned by representatives from Mountaineer Search & Rescue, ABATE, Emporium Rotary and individuals including Jim & Pat Kempher, Jean Tesauro, Cliff Clark, Gary Russell Stephanie Loveland and Rodger Eckert.
The event also marks the end of the 2022 Sinnemahone Triple Crown. Three runners from Cameron County are eligible for the distinction. They include Ryan Dobson, Saul Solveson and David McManigle. Don Weis from St Marys is also eligible.
Five participants in the Triple Crown have all competed in the 55 mile gravel grinder and registered for the 50k. They are eligible for the iron division of the Sinnemahone Triple Crown. They include Cameron County residents, Toni Flament, and Dustin Burgoon. Along with Dana Wood from Painted Post New York, Terry Anderson from Erie, and Skylar Gingrich from Manheim.
