Seed Library

Another wonderful service at our local library!

Did you know that the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library now offers a SEED LIBRARY as well?

They have a wide variety of seeds available, from vegetables and herbs to fruits and flowers. Seeds can be checked out with your library card and, of course, you don’t need to return them but you plant instead!
We love this idea!

All seeds available are collected through donations so if you have any seeds you would like to add to their collection you can fill out a donation form and drop them off at the library. They accept only non-GMO, non-hybrid and non-invasive seeds.

All the information you need is on their website https://barbaramoscatobrownlibrary.org/seed-library, including the necessary donation forms. They also include a very informative document on how to collect, dry and store seeds plus, for the avid gardener, information on planning your garden and a fun Garden Journal where you can track your progress year after year.

We will also have information and donation sheets available at the farmers market. Come and see us next Saturday, 10th September and you can start planning your garden for next year or learn how to collect your seeds so you can share them with your fellow local gardeners.

Thanks for doing this, Yelena and the team at the BMB Library, what a great way to get new gardeners started and connect the growers within our community!
