Beverly Cool

 

Beverly Cool, 87, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in the Guy and Mary Felt Manor in Emporium with her loving family by her side. She was born in Sterling Run on July 5, 1934, the daughter Demonte and Nellie (Bunce) Whiting. She graduated from Emporium High School in 1951 where she was a majorette, married her high school sweetheart, Richard M. Cool, and they started life together. 

 She has three children: Nancy (Keith) Benevent of Masontown, PA: Richard M. Cool II of Emporium; and Barbara Cool of Toms River, NJ. 

 Bev served on many committees when her children were in school. She was very active in the Order of Easter Star, was Worthy Matron three times, and had many Grand Appointments. She loved playing the keyboard and sometimes played at the Aroma CafĂ© in Emporium. People who knew Bev will remember her great wit and how she loved to laugh. She will be greatly missed by her family who remained very close to her. 
 Bev was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporium where she was secretary for a time and also sang in the choir. 

 Survivors include: her husband, Dick; her daughters Nancy and Barbara; her son Rick; a special friend, Gina; seven grandchildren who she loved to spoil; two nieces; five nephews; a great nephew; a sister-in-law; and many cousins. 

 Friends may call at the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home in Emporium on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at which time Funeral Services will be held with Rev. Kenneth Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium. 

 Donations, if desired, may be made to Phoenix Chapter 15 of the Order of Easter Star, 1303 W Valley Road, Smethport, Pa 16749.
