The Emporium Rotary Day Cruise was an opportunity for every 9th grade
student from CCHS and Austin to learn about entrepreneurship. Thanks to
the CEC, Emporium Hardwoods, Embassy, DCNR, CDH Designs, Cameron County
Mercantile, Reid's Napa, David Woodring's Photography and Emporium
Nutrition for providing interesting information on running your own
business. The Emporium Rotary Club enjoyed hosting this group of
students during the fun and informative day.
Nate Sestina (right) was the guest of Bari Poorman (left) and spoke to
the Emporium Rotary club and various guests about his up and coming
professional basketball career. He also spoke about how thankful he is
for his parents and for Cameron County and how he spends as much time as
he can trying to give back to the people and the community that shaped
him.
