Fire Department Responds to Residental Fire Early this Morning


 

At approximately 4:15 am the fire alarms sounded for a 2-story single family dwelling fire on the corner of 6th & Broad Street.  Thankfully no one was injured.

Fire Company 14 acknowledged with fire visible from the station.

 Assistant 14-2 requested Elk Company 1 to the scene with one engine and arrived reporting a 2 story single family dwelling with a working fire on division 2 on the C/D corner of the building. 
Engine 141 took the address with its own water supply and went to work with 2 1 and 3/4 lines quickly bringing the fire under control while ladder 14s crew vented the roof. There were no injuries to either the residents or firefighters on scene. One cat was saved from the basement by the interior crew. all units were back in service at 6:30 am with the exception of chief 14 and Assistant 14-2.
