WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 20 below zero. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 inches or more possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...For the Wind Chill Advisory, from midnight tonight to noon EST Saturday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...The frigid wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Limit time outside. Dress in layers and cover exposed skin. Wear a hat and gloves. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. There is the potential for significant winter weather that may impact travel. Review winter weather safety and preparedness information at weather.gov/winter.
