Paint Project - Senior Project

Paint Project - Senior Project

Meera Smoker a senior at Cameron County High School hosting a children’s paint night Friday January 21 at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce.

The project is part of Smoker’s Senior Project. “At this time there are a few families that are experiencing hardships. I couldn’t help but think how much I wanted to help,” Smoker explains. The money raised will be distributed to a local family. Renee Valenti the owner of INKPressive Creations and Smoker’s mom will provide the materials. Smoker says, “what better way to help others than to involve my mom and her business to help bring local children together for a fun filled night of painting!” Attendees will sign a card which will be given to the family. Smoker says she does not want to reveal the name of the family at this time, instead making it a surprise. Smoker hopes this project will encourage other students to help others in need.
The class is limited to 20 participants. The fee is $15 each and if all seats are taken, take home kits will be available. Registrations are accepted on Facebook (Meera Lyza Smoker) or at 814-335-4266.
Smoker will be attending nursing school in South Carolina following graduation.
