Mary Virigina Stamberger

Mary Virigina Stamberger, 96, of Hernando, FL passed away on August 30th, 2021 at her home. She was born to the late Ralph and Alice (Quigley) Hout on December 10th, 1924 in Emporium, Pennsylvania. She was a hairdresser for many years but her number one and favorite job was raising her cherished kids and taking care of her family. She enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family and attending Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Mary was a great seamstress, knitter, and crocheter, enjoyed making and donating her artwork to those who could benefit. She was an avid volunteer and was always looking for new ways and new organization in which to get involved. Above all, Mary will be remembered for being a nice person who genuinely loved people and who everyone loved back.

Mary was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her beloved husband of 44 years, Merwin, who passed in 1991; her daughter, Suzanne; her son, Jeffrey; and her two sisters, Veronica and Eleanor.

Those left to cherish Mary’s memory are her children, Gary A. (Ginny) Stamberger, Judith L. (Robert) Lincoln of Florida, Janice DeMassari of New Jersey, Kimberly (Jerry) Colavito of New Jersey, and JoAnn (Michael) Venditto of New Jersey; her 11 loved grandchildren, Heather, Danielle, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Russell, Jenna, David Kyle, Kimberly, Julia, Michael Jr., and Kelly; and her adored 13 great-grandchildren, Markie, Elizabeth, Emily, Stephanie, Jake, Owen, Hazel, Nicole, Krista, Kyle, Anthony, Willa, and Adeline. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on September 14th, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, FL with Father Erwin Belgica officiating.

Prior to the services, there will be a visitation at 9:30 am at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home.

Following the conclusion of the services, a procession will take place to Florida National Cemetery where Mary will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Merwin.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
