Cameron County Car Show Returns
Cameron County car enthusiast of all ages mark your calendar for Saturday October 16 at the parking lot of the former Sylvania plant. Music food cars and car related competitions all planned for that afternoon. The event coincides with the final leg of the Sinnemahone Triple Crown.
Vehicles including antiques, street rods, jeeps and motorcycles will check in 9am-1pm. Trophies will be awarded in 12 categories at 3pm with a cruise through Emporium ending at the high school parking lot. During the event, the Cameron County Loud and Proud competition will take place. The loudest stereo and loudest exhaust will be judged and cash prizes awarded for each.
Organizers expect the biggest draw to be the Power Wheel Demo Derby for children 3-10 years old. There is no charge and youngsters will show off their driving skills at 2pm. Music will be provided by DJ Smokin Sounds and Legacy.
The first 25 pre-registered will be given a dash plaque and will receive a goodie bag. The registration forms can be picked up from the prime sponsors: Cameron County Chamber of Commerce, Emporium Food Market, Reids Auto Sales & Service and Singers Auto Service
