The Hygrade Inn
It’s official. After meeting with our contractor and our electrician, we are pleased to announce additional plans for the spring of 2022.
As many of you know, the Hygrade Inn has a large yard. In the spring of 2022, we will be installing a 40‘ x 40‘ Flagstone parking lot in the front section of our yard. That flagstone parking lot will have two electric vehicle superchargers for guest use, as well as public use.
The decision to install superchargers came about after a guest brought their electric vehicle to The PA Wilds only to realize that the nearest charging station was a 100 mile trip, 50 miles to Dubois and 50 miles back. That made it nearly impossible for the guests to travel around the PA Wilds and sightsee. We feel that installing chargers will benefit our community in immense ways. The time it takes to fully charge an electric vehicle is anywhere from 25 to 35 minutes. That is 25 to 35 minutes of a captive audience in our community. Additionally, we feel there is a vast amount of tourists who do not come to our section of the PA Wilds for the specific reason that there are no electric vehicle chargers. Hopefully this will resolve those concerns and our community will become a hub for our region. Here’s to our bright future.
