Today the Sylvan Heritage Council assisted the Emporium borough crew in replacing 24 military banners throughout the Emporium borough.
We are so happy the banners were in before this holiday weekend and cannot thank the borough crew enough for their assistance with this community project.
As we did earlier this year, on this beautiful 4th of July weekend, the Sylvan Heritage Council invites you to take a walk or a drive around Emporium and view our 178 military banners! This is just one of the many that memorializes a veteran who paid the ultimate price for his country. Take a look for the others and, when you find them, say a humble thank you. The banners stretch from the west to east end bridges and from Second to Sixth Streets. On this day and every day, Cameron County is military proud and strong!
The Emporium borough crew honored two of their employees today with a surprise banner . Thank you for your service Matthew J Heitzenrater and Thomas Spolski
