Memorial Day Weekend Programs at Sinnemahoning State Park

 Welcome to the unofficial start of summer! I hope you have plans to visit your favorite PA State Park this weekend!

Saturday, May 29, 2021 1:00 – 3:00 PM Eagle Nest Watch: The baby bald eagles are almost fully grown and getting ready to fly. View the nest action live through binoculars or telescope with help from park volunteers. Good for all ages. Wildlife Viewing Area

Saturday, May 29, 2021, 3:30 – 4:30 PM Terrific Turtles: DiscoverE Program: Meet a live turtle, find out more about the turtles that live in this area, and try a turtle craft. For families with children ages 4-12. 40 Maples Day Use Area

Saturday, May 29, 2021 8:00 – 9:30 PM Elk: Fun Facts and Trivia: Have fun while learning about Pennsylvania’s largest mammal. Interactive campground program followed by 37-minute elk video. Good for all ages. Everyone is welcome to attend. Campground Amphitheater

Sunday, May 30, 2021 2:30 – 3:30 PM Crazy Crawdads: DiscoverE Program: Take an up-close look at crayfish and the habitat they live in. For families with children ages 4-12. Nets and containers provided. Wear water shoes and be prepared to get wet!40 Maples Day Use Area

Sunday, May 30, 2021 and Monday, May 31, 2021 3 tours each day: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM Pontoon Boat Tours: Join park staff for a relaxing and informative 1-hour tour of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir. Program is free, but donations are requested. Reservations are recommended.

 Lake Day Use Area To pre-register for a program, or for more information, please visit the online DCNR Calendar of Events at http://events.dcnr.pa.gov. If you need assistance with online registration, please call or stop by the park office, 814-647-8401 and dial 0 for the front desk.

 If you need an accommodation to participate in PA State Park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit. With at least seven days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs. 

Due to current COVID-19 regulations: to participate in park programs, face masks are required for all non-vaccinated participants and are optional for all others. Proof of vaccination is not required. Group sizes are limited to 40 or less.
