Library Received Upgrades Thanks to Grant

Library Received Upgrades Thanks to Grant

The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library has been quietly making some upgrades in recent months thanks to a generous grant from the The George A. and Margaret Mee Charitable Foundation.

In addition to funding the recent upgrade to the library’s website, this grant has allowed the library to update and upgrade several other things.

Inside the library, new shelves have been added to the Children’s and Adult Fiction sections, with an upgrade to one thanks to an additional donation by the Cameron County High School Class of 1952.

Also inside, the grant funded a new copy center that now provides a faxing station for library patrons. Faxes cost $2 for one page and an additional $1 for each subsequent page. There is no charge for the cover sheet.
The exterior of the library building received some repairs to the roof and will soon be getting a fresh coat of paint, both also thanks to the The George A. and Margaret Mee Charitable Foundation grant.

The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library board and staff extend their gratitude to the Foundation, and the local community for their generosity and continued support.
