Robert G. "Red" Gustafson, 90, of Centre Crest, Bellefonte, PA formerly of Emporium passed away at Centre Crest on Monday evening (March 1, 2021). He was born March 18, 1930 in Penfield, PA a son of the late Eric and Charlotte McCool Gustafson.
On May 21, 1955 in St. Mark Catholic Church he married the late Adelaide Bosnik Gustafson.
Red graduated from Emporium High School in the class of 1948. He served with the US Marines during the Korean Conflict. He worked many years at Sylvania and later for Caldwell Corporation where he retired as plant manager. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. He enjoyed making doll houses and donating them to many people throughout the area.
He is survived by two sons, Robert E. Gustafson, Louisville, KY and Michael J. Gustafson and his wife Darcy, State College, PA; four grandchildren: Matthew, Taylor, Helen & William, two great grandchildren: Sutton & Corbett; and a sister, Helen Petruzzi, Emporium.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by
three brothers, Eric, Jr., William and Dalton Gustafson; four sisters, Thelma Cox, Ranetha Kines, Buelah Metz & Verna Kondek.
There will be No Visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church in Emporium, PA at the convenience of the family with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA where a Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.
